Extended Care: Flexible Support Beyond the School Day
At The Academy at St. Joan of Arc, we understand that many families balance changing work schedules and busy routines. Our Extended Care program is designed to offer dependable, flexible support before and after the school day for students from Preschool through 8th grade.
Extended Care is available on regular school days for students who need early drop-off or a later pick-up option.
Before & After School Care Options
Extended Care is available on regular school days for students who need early drop-off or a later pick-up option. Extended Care is optional and flexible; families may use the program as needed rather than committing to a fixed schedule. Typical school day: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Activities are age-appropriate and supervised at all times, allowing students to transition comfortably while families enjoy the flexibility Extended Care provides.
- Morning Care: begins at 7:00 a.m.
- After School Care: available until 6:00 p.m.
Staffing & Daily Experience
Extended Care at The Academy at St. Joan of Arc is supervised by a consistent team of teachers and instructional aides who already know our students well. Familiar faces and established relationships help create a calm, safe, and supportive environment—especially at the beginning and end of the day.
Because students remain on campus with trusted adults, Extended Care feels like a natural extension of the school day rather than a separate program.
During Extended Care:
- Older students often use the time to complete homework, read, or unwind in a structured setting.
- Younger students engage in play, creative activities, and movement, balanced with quieter options such as reading and games.
- Supervised indoor and outdoor movement
Cost & Billing
This structure is designed to support families with flexible or variable schedules—you pay only for what you need.
- Rate: $12 per hour per student
- Billing: Monthly, billed in 15-minute increments
- Charges reflect only the time used
- Billing is managed directly through your FACTS account

- Extended Care is offered on full school days only
- After Care is not available on half days
- Availability aligns with the academic calendar
