Annual Community Events at Glance
While additional parties and fun socials pop up throughout the year, you can mark your calendars for these staple annual community traditions.
Homecoming - Enjoy a little slice of Americana on a Fall Saturday morning that brings together every age of Saints as we cheer on our Evanston Catholic Knights.
Turkey Trot - An adults only event where you walk from house to house, mixing up groups, seeing old friends and making new ones, before everyone comes together at the dessert house. Typically held in November.
Christmas Tree Lot - Imagine a picture perfect scene from the Hallmark channel with all your favorite Saints as we sell Christmas Trees in the beautiful back courtyard at the Fat Shallot. Held the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Annual Christmas Sign Up Party - A Signup party FUNdraiser, bringing everyone together for a little Christmas cheer. Held each year in December.
Ladies Christmas Luncheon - This longstanding tradition brings together current moms, grandmas, alumni moms and women from the community to gather at ASJA for shopping, lunch and a chance to preview the school’s Christmas Program and Nativity.
Advent Prayer Service - Right before dismissal for Christmas Break, our 8th Grade student saints lead our community in a prayer service featuring a reflection from our alumni who are current college freshmen. These alums reflect on what the community means to them now that they have graduated into the world.
Community Saints Day - A Mass and Breakfast Reception to say thank you to all the countless donors and volunteers who make the magic happen.
Gala - The Academy’s largest fundraiser supporting operating expenses, the Gala brings our community together to celebrate and support our beloved school’s vision to challenge minds, engage hearts, and ignite lives of purpose. Generally held late February/early March. Read more here.
