Learning by Doing
At The Academy at St. Joan of Arc, science is active, hands on, and rooted in curiosity. Students learn best when they are experimenting, questioning, and making connections, so science is something they do, not something they memorize.
Early Science Foundations
Science exploration begins in Preschool through age appropriate, hands on experiences that encourage observation, questioning, and discovery. Students learn to explore the world around them while developing early critical thinking skills.
Elementary Science
In Elementary School, students engage in structured, inquiry based science units that emphasize experimentation, collaboration, and real world application. Learning is active and purposeful, helping students build confidence and think like scientists.
Middle School Science
Middle School science is taught through a rigorous, unit based progression across multiple disciplines, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy, Astronomy, and Earth Science. Students deepen their understanding through labs, projects, and inquiry driven learning.
Beyond the Classroom
Science learning extends beyond the classroom through our award winning Science Olympiad team, which competes annually at the state level.
